The Bothell House: Entryway

BEFORE + AFTER

DESIGN DETAILS

To help clients visualize + effectively communicate with contractors and other vendors, here are a handful of project details from the Bothell House.

We’re so excited to share details from The Bothell House: Entry –– one of our favorite projects in Bothell, Washington.

From a complete remodel of the entire downstairs to furnishing + styling each room, our clients wanted our help in creating a home that left the mid-1990’s craftsman style in the past + welcomed in a more modern version they could call home.

Since Kayleigh + her family enter their house through the garage, the functional demands of the entryway are less — which opens up a ton of opportunity to put your best foot forward + put on display a great first impression for guests.

And friend, this entryway transformation certainly packs a punch! With soaring high ceilings + an elegant matte black chandelier with beautiful geometric shapes can be seen + admired before you even reach the front doorstep.

Naturally, a ton of light fills the entryway.  With a round oversized mirror placed perfectly above a console table with sleek simple lines + lots of style. As you step foot inside you can’t help but take notice of a friendly feature wall that whispers “welcome to my home.”

As you tour the Bothell House you’ll notice that subtle black accents have been sprinkled throughout all of the spaces we designed during the renovation but in the Entryway, the bold black console with brass hardware steals the show.

From books to vases + other decorative accents — like an area rug with a small geometric pattern, that wears well over time + does an excellent job of hiding wear + tear — the Entryway is not only meant for making a lasting first impression but it also acts as a bridge that ties together the design all of the rooms downstairs while giving guests a glimpse of what they can expect.
