The Bothell House: Kitchen Remodel
BEFORE + AFTER
DESIGN DETAILS
To help clients visualize + effectively communicate with contractors and other vendors, here are a handful of project details from the Bothell House.
We’re so excited to share details from The Bothell House: Kitchen –– one of our favorite projects in Bothell, Washington.
From a complete remodel of the entire downstairs to furnishing + styling each room, our clients wanted our help in creating a home that left the mid-1990’s craftsman style in the past + welcomed in a more modern version they could call home.
Let’s face it — a lot of people think of the kitchen as being the heart of the home but quite literally, this kitchen sits smack dab in the middle of everything. On one side there’s the entryway + stairs, to the right of it are the dining room + formal living room and to the left are the dining nook + family room.
Yep, the heart of the home applies here!
And as you can see, this kitchen was in need of some TLC + a few updates. Which is exactly what we gave it.
During the assessment phase, we knew we wanted to liven up the kitchen with bright white cabinets + contrasting matte black hardware.
A waterfall countertop on the peninsula + clean white quartz with subtle veining was the perfect happy medium between stunning look at me aesthetic meeting practical cleanability. And with a soft grey herringbone backsplash, it’s absolutely the perfect touch + display of attention to detail.
An angled wall of floor-to-ceiling kitchen cabinets not only hides the refrigerator (while providing a TON of storage) but it became an excellent place for incorporating a beverage station coffee nook.
All new appliances + custom cabinetry to disguise the ventilation over the range it truly adds an elevated feel of luxe to the kitchen.
But with so much cabinetry, countertop space + tile backsplashes, it’s not uncommon for kitchens to sometimes feel a bit cold. So in contrast, we incorporated woven barstools (again with black metal legs) to add some texture, depth + really liven things up in the kitchen. Giving it a real natural vibe while creating a warm inviting counter space to sit + enjoy.
No kitchen is complete without adding a few wooden accents on the counter as well as fresh greenery to help to breathe life into the kitchen #YesPlz!
